A reflection on the quiet wealth found in craft, skill, community, and the wisdom of living with less but living more fully.
“Everyone talks about saving the economy, as if a good economy is a life saver for society” - True prosperity begins when one puts their own house in order and embraces responsibility for the consequences of their choices.

The Real Economy
Return to craft, return to connection - the economy is about care and management, not growth.
Economy comes from the Greek word meaning household management — the art of keeping your own home in order. Once, that meant being prepared, resourceful, and supported by your community. Small downturns didn’t shake people, because they relied on themselves and each other.
Today’s global economy has shifted that balance. We’ve become disconnected, and feel more separated from the world around us.
How do we live well together with what we have?
Perhaps the new economy is an old one — working with our hands, building what we need, and finding value in simplicity once again.
The Economics of Happiness
The old ways of living see their own culture as inferior to the Western culture. They are told the grass is greener on the other side - They think the people in the West are rich. But the cultures of the old ways have time to rest, and time for their family and community, or you can’t be happy.
People in the Western World:
They don’t have any time, and everybody is rushing without talking to each other.
They have become disconnected from what’s real, each other; their family, friends and the community.
No time to reflect on life!
What’s important to you?

How to Protect Your Wealth
Start with a simple principle: → Buy or exchange into assets, not liabilities.
But real wealth goes deeper than money — it’s about self-reliance and value creation.
Here’s how to build lasting wealth:
Trust yourself: Your instincts, abilities, and choices matter. Build confidence by taking action and learning from experience.
Use what you have: If you own assets, put them to work in ways that benefit both you and your local community. Create value that lifts others too.
Grow your skills: Keep learning. The more you can do, the less dependent you are.
Lead with good intentions: A win-win mindset builds trust, reputation, and long-term success.
Work with your hands: Invest in tools that help you make, repair, and cook. Producing more and consuming less is a quiet form of power.
Wealth isn’t just what you store — it’s what you can build, share, and sustain.
“Don’t judge money as good or bad. Feel as if you have always had enough” - And you will continue to have enough
See Opportunity in Chaos
In times of chaos, the illusion of control fades — and what remains is ability. If you can fix, repair, bake, produce, or trade — you will rise after the collapse.
Because when systems fail, it’s the resourceful who rebuild from what’s left. In chaos, money loses meaning, but production regains it.
Value returns to those who create, not just consume. It’s a quiet reminder: wealth isn’t stored in the bank — it’s in your skills, your mindset, and your ability to adapt. When everything feels uncertain, go back to what’s real. Make something. Grow something. Help someone. That’s where stability begins. Because sometimes, chaos isn’t the end — it’s the start of something more authentic.
Real Wealth Can’t Be Bought
The Illusion of money
“If money were truly a store of value, everyone would live with gratitude. But those who chase it often lose sight — and become greedy.”
Currency stole the value, making assets look like growth through easy debt, giving the illusion of being rich — while leaving many poorer in spirit.
The True Measure of Value — Choose Wisely
Money was meant to store value, not steal gratitude. Chase purpose, not profit. Or you will never be satisfied
Two great quotes by Henry David Thoreau:
“Absolutely speaking, the more money, the less virtue; for money comes between a man and his objects, …”
“I am grateful for what I am and have… My wealth is not possession but enjoyment.”
Currency — real value or just wealth in disguise?
Time is your best asset
Spend it wisely
“Time is the only currency we use without knowing the balance”
Do more of the things, that only make sense to you.
Preserving Our Culture.
“The Traditional Way” — One Step at a Time.
Step outside. Life is as it is — a journey of experiences, not a destination. First, take a step back to reflect. Comprehend what you need to detach from, what’s holding you back, and awaken your inner strengths.
Progress is ongoing, one step at a time ‘perpetual’ There are mountains to climb — both literal and metaphorical — to gain perspective, to build resilience, and to keep moving forward throughout life. Effort matters. True results come from dedication, not shortcuts at the expense of others.
As we grow and learn, we remember: we are only passing through. Our responsibility is to leave the world, and the cultures we cherish, in a better place for the next generation. The planet, and its traditions, belong to everyone.
